President Zuma will on Saturday, 28 August, deliver the oratory at the Provincial Official Funeral of the late Joseph “Joe” Matthews, the former Deputy Minister of Safety and Security, an intellectual and stalwart of the ANC, SACP and IFP. He was also father to the current Science and Technology Minister Naledi Pandor.

The Provincial Official Funeral is in recognition of his outstanding service to the Province of the Western Cape and the people of South Africa at large.
