Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe accompanied by Premier Helen Zille today, 21 August concluded a two day visit to Bitou municipality.

Deputy President Mr Kgalema Petrus Motlanthe will host the Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau, Mr Carlos Gomes Júnior on a one day working visit to South Africa. The working visit will be held in Cape Town on the 26th August 2010.

Deputy President says Government is colour blind in fighting poverty

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe said colour is not the determining factor in fighting poverty in South Africa. Responding to a question in the National Assembly on 19 August 2010, the Deputy President said, amongst others, the War on Poverty campaign uses Statistics South Africa’s instruments to identify the poorest wards, including white communities.
