President Zuma to hand over Botlokwa Bridges in Limpopo Province

President Jacob Zuma will on Tuesday, 17 October 2017, officially hand over the Botlokwa Bridges as part of Government’s broader infrastructure development in Botlokwa, Molemole Municipality in the Limpopo Province.
The Botlokwa Bridges will be made up of one road bridge and two pedestrian bridges on the N1 between Polokwane and Makhado.
The bridges were constructed by South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) to ensure improved road safety for both vehicles and pedestrians.
The N1 Botlokwa freeway is the busiest corridor that links South Africa with the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. These include countries such as Zimbabwe, Malawi, Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.
The official opening of the bridges forms part of the Transport Month-activities led by the Department of Transport.
President Zuma will be joined by Minister of Transport, Mr Joe Maswanganyi.
